Pokémon XD renews the cast of Colosseum: a new hero, a family, a professor, a mad scientist and a Cipher led by a man above all suspicion.
Michael and his family
Michael is the youngest Trainer at the Pokémon HQ Lab in Rhode, and the most gifted. He lives at the lab with his mother, Lily, who works on the purifier, and his little sister, Jovi, who plays with a Plusle and a Minun. His Eevee was left to him by his father.
The allies
- Professor Krane runs the Pokémon HQ Lab and designed the Snag Machine and the purifier. Cipher kidnaps him to force him to work on XD001.
- Dr. Kaminko, an eccentric scientist, and his assistant Chobin live in a mansion full of inventions, including the Robo Groudon.
- Es Cade, the grandfather from Agate Village who was already in Colosseum, and his wife.
- Duking, in Pyrite Town, who discovers the Poké Spots, and Nett, the head of the ONBS.
- The Area 1 leader, leader of the first area of Mt. Battle.
Cipher
Disbanded after the fall of Evice, Cipher is reborn under the orders of Greevil, the Grand Master. For almost the entire adventure, he poses as Mr. Verich, a wealthy philanthropist from Gateon Port escorted by two bodyguards: his sons, Ardos and Eldes.
