Agate Village: The path to purity
Agate Village is a pretty little village. Take the Poké Ball at the entrance, it could come in handy.
Head straight for the northernmost house (built inside a tree trunk).
Es Cade’s wife (Es Cade being a good friend of your mother, if you have been following), like any self-respecting Agate Village resident, is watching the ONBS news. But never mind, we are not here to watch television.
She welcomes you, but Es Cade bursts in and asks you to follow him at all costs into the Relic Forest, on the way to the Relic Stone.
Go all the way to the bottom of the village and you will discover a guarded cave entrance. The guard lets you through.
There are plenty of people in the cave. It is actually an initiatory path for you, to let you quickly purify your Pokémon. Once you reach the end, its Heart Gauge should be at zero, but, as if that were not enough, you are given a Cologne Case, which lets you buy bottles of massage oil in Agate Village to completely empty the Heart Gauge of your Pokémon.
There are three levels of scents:
– Joy Scent (600 Poké Dollars): purifies your Pokémon a little
– Excite Scent (800 Poké Dollars): purifies your Pokémon a moderate amount
– Vivid Scent (1,200 Poké Dollars): purifies your Pokémon a lot
If your Teddiursa is fully purified, exit on the other side of the cave, where Es Cade is waiting for a final battle against… his Pikachu at Level 12 (careful, it is very, very diffic… no, actually you should blow it away in a few attacks, no more).
He offers to take you to the Relic Stone. It instantly purifies your Teddiursa, which also recovers all its eXPerience (EXP) and moves, along with a Ribbon attesting that it used to be a Shadow Pokémon.
You return to Es Cade’s house, where he joyfully celebrates this feat. He advises you to go and talk to the Area 1 leader at Mt. Battle.
We advise you to do so too.
Head for Mt. Battle, which has just appeared on your destinations map.
