🏛️Pewter City

Heal up at the Pokémon Center, then stop by the Pewter Museum of Science (¥50) to admire the fossils and the space shuttle. The back service entrance can only be reached with Cut: you will return there for the Old Amber, which will bring Aerodactyl back to life on Cinnabar Island.

🪨Pewter Gym

A single Camper guards the Gym before the Leader. Rock and Ground Pokémon fear Water, Grass, Fighting and Steel; Normal and Electric attacks do little damage to them.

Our strategy

With Bulbasaur or Squirtle, Vine Whip or Water Gun knock out Geodude and Onix in a few hits. With Charmander, the fight is rougher: Ember does almost nothing. Train a Butterfree (Confusion), a Mankey from Route 22 (Karate Chop) or a Nidoran♂ from Route 3 (Double Kick) to level 12-13. Onix knows Rock Tomb, which lowers your Speed, and Bind, which traps you: keep a few Potions.
