🌉Nugget Bridge and your rival

Taking the path north, you run into your rival at the foot of Nugget Bridge. After the battle, he leaves you the Fame Checker, a notebook that keeps track of important rumors and conversations.

Our strategy

Pidgeotto is the fastest: target it first. Abra only knows Teleport, so take the chance to heal your team or level up your reserves. Save your best Pokémon for his starter, at level 18.

The Fame Checker

Five trainers then defend the bridge, to be fought one after another. At the end, a man congratulates you, gives you a Nugget… and offers you to join Team Rocket. Decline: the battle is unavoidable.

🏡Bill’s house

At the end of Route 25, a little house overlooks the sea. Inside, a strange Pokémon speaks to you: it is Bill, a Pokémon genius, stuck in the body of a Pokémon after a failed experiment. Activate his teleporter while he enters the machine: he regains human form and thanks you with an S.S. Ticket for the S.S. Anne cruise, in Vermilion City.

Our strategy

Starmie, Water and Psychic, is fast and hits hard. With Bulbasaur (Vine Whip, Leech Seed) or a Pikachu from Viridian Forest, the battle is under control. With Charmander, keep it out of it: catch an Oddish or a Bellsprout on Routes 24 and 25, or a Pikachu. Staryu and Starmie know Recover: hit hard so as not to give them time to heal.
