These codes only work with an Action Replay on the French version of the game, on Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP or Nintendo DS. They do not work on the Nintendo Switch version.

1. The Master Code
The Master Code activates the Action Replay for your version of the game. Enter it first: no other code works without it.

2. Encounter any wild Pokémon
- Once the code is active, only the chosen Pokémon appears in tall grass, everywhere in the game, until you turn the code off.
- Before the Pokémon code, enter the region code for your version (tables below).

- Go to Pallet Town, to Professor Oak’s lab, and stand in front of the Professor.
- Save your game in front of him, then turn off the console.
- Enter the following code with the Action Replay:
44922452 A6679872A4DE1EF0 A145F2B5F9A6F00F 4448804E255C30D0 2E205665135537E8 B636C0620FD078FA 68178F7247870CD6 6FC0E827 - Restart the console with the code active and resume your game: the Pokédex now counts 386 Pokémon.
- Save, turn off the console, remove the Action Replay and restart your game: the 386 Pokémon stay registered.
Unlimited experience
- Enter the Master Code for your version, then the following code:
CCB0B003 31CFF0B68B446947 2F0465001CD6B3D2 6375E67D - Win a single battle (against a Rattata, for example).
- When experience is awarded, hold the R button: the experience bar and levels keep rising for as long as you hold it.
- Release R at level 100 at the latest: beyond that, the Pokémon no longer battles properly.
