🚪The seven-room Gym

Norman’s Gym is made up of interconnected rooms. Each is named after its specialty (Speed, Accuracy, Defense, Recovery, One-Hit KO, Strength…) and houses a trainer who uses items in that style. Defeating a trainer opens the next door or doors: choose your path according to your team’s strengths. The last rooms all lead to Norman.

Our strategy

Normal-type Pokémon fear Fighting moves: Combusken, Makuhita, Machop or Meditite are your best assets. The two Slakings are formidable but have the Truant ability: they attack only every other turn. Take advantage of their idle turns to strike them or power up. The real danger is Vigoroth, fast and with no downtime. Facade doubles in power if its user is poisoned, burned or paralyzed: avoid inflicting a status condition.

🌊HM03 Surf

Go see Wally’s father, in the house next to the Gym: to thank you for helping his son, he gives you HM03 Surf. All of Hoenn’s sea opens up to you. Teach Surf to a Water-type Pokémon: it is one of the best moves in the game.
