The profiles, written in 2017, apply to the Wii U version as well as the DX version; they give the damage values of both versions when they differ.

Unlocking Mewtwo and Shadow Mewtwo

Mewtwo becomes playable once the Ferrum League story is completed, after the final victory over Shadow Mewtwo at the Black Coliseum. Shadow Mewtwo, for his part, is unlocked after the Chroma League. The Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card, given to the first buyers and included in the Japanese bundle, unlocks him immediately.

Unlocking Support Pokémon

On Wii U, only the first three Support sets are available at the start: Emolga and Fennekin, Snivy and Lapras, Frogadier and Eevee. The others are unlocked by progressing through the Ferrum League, winning the promotion trials and the tournaments of each league. Our article Support Pokémon details the sets and their conditions.

Unlocking stages

Eight stages are available from the start. Six more are obtained by fighting a battle there during the Ferrum League, and the last five by progressing through Shadow Mewtwo’s story. The list is on our Stages page.

Nia: Cheer Skills and outfits

On Wii U, the Steady Cheer Skill is available from the start; the others are unlocked by winning the Ferrum League tournaments, from the Green League to the Chroma League. Nia’s outfits are obtained the same way, with the Christmas outfit rewarding the final victory. See our article Nia and her cheers.
