After your victory at the League, the man who guarded the entrance of a cave northwest of Cerulean City has finally stepped aside. Inside, the wild Pokémon are the strongest in Kanto, and at the very back sleeps the creature born in the Pokémon Mansion on Cinnabar Island: Mewtwo.

🧬Mewtwo

  • MewtwoPsychic

Psychic, level 70. Its stats are the highest of the first generation. Among other moves, it knows Psychic, Barrier and Recover.

This is the time to use the Master Ball you got at Silph Co.: it catches Mewtwo for sure, on the very first turn. Without it, prepare around thirty Ultra Balls, a Pokémon able to put it to sleep or paralyze it, and plenty of patience. Save before talking to it.
