In Scarlet and Violet, your character wears the Academy uniform, but many elements can be customized. And, new this time, all options are available to every player, regardless of gender.
Appearance
At the start of the game, you choose from four base appearances (original skin and hair color): this choice is final. Everything else can be changed at any time: eye shape and color, freckles, moles, lip color, makeup…
Hair salons
Several towns have a salon where you can change the length, style and color of your hair. New styles unlock as you progress through the game.
Shops
Most towns have shops, each with its own stock: socks, shoes, gloves, bags, hats, glasses. The uniform itself comes in several variants, and the expansions add more:
- the jinbei, the festival outfit of Kitakami (The Teal Mask);
- the Blueberry Academy uniform (The Indigo Disk).
The Rotom Phone and the Trainer Card
- Change your Rotom Phone case: some can be bought, others are given as gifts (by Kieran at Blueberry Academy, for example).
- Your Trainer Card, which other players can see online, can be customized too.
Picnics
Tablecloths, glasses, bottles and other picnic accessories can be bought in shops to add some style to your outdoor meals.
Photo mode
The Rotom Phone also works as a camera: in selfie mode or free view, with filters and poses. Ideal for capturing your Pokémon, especially during picnics.
