The picnic replaces the Pokémon Day Care and camping of previous games. Set up your table almost anywhere in the wild (but not in Area Zero), and your whole party comes out of their Poké Balls, including Koraidon / Miraidon.
What you can do during a picnic
- Play and chat with your Pokémon to increase their friendship, and take photos of them with the Rotom Phone.
- Groom them: sponge, soap, then rinse. They get clean again and recover HP.
- Make a sandwich: it heals the party, makes them happy and activates very useful Powers.

- Picnic with others thanks to Union Circle, with up to four players.
You can also customize your picnic (tablecloth, glasses, bottles) with items bought in shops.
Making a sandwich
There are two modes:
- recipe mode, with over 150 preset recipes;
- creative mode, where you build your own sandwich: up to 6 ingredients and 4 condiments.
You have 10 minutes to place the ingredients on the slice of bread, close the sandwich and plant the pick. Careful: if an ingredient falls off the bread, the recipe isn’t followed and all Powers drop to level 1.
The 10 Powers
A sandwich activates up to three Powers for 30 minutes, from level 1 to 3. Most of them relate to a specific type.

Sparkling Power sandwiches
Sparkling Power, the shiny hunter’s weapon, requires Herba Mystica, obtained in 5★ and 6★ Tera Raid Battles. A simple method: one ingredient that determines the type, plus two Herba Mystica, one of which is Salty Herba Mystica. You then get Sparkling Power, Encounter Power and Title Power at level 3 for that type.
