Briar’s expedition

Shortly after your victory in the Blueberry League, Briar gathers Kieran, Carmine, Drayton and you. With Geeta’s approval, she organizes a new expedition to Area Zero to find the legendary Pokémon of the Book: Terapagos. Drayton backs out, so the four of you go. Before you leave, Geeta entrusts you with the Indigo Disk.

The lab and the Area Zero Underdepths

You lead the group to the Zero Lab, locked after sitting unused for far too long. The lock detects the Indigo Disk: insert it, and the elevator descends to an unknown level, the Area Zero Underdepths, the deepest point of the crater. Along the way, Kieran gradually regains his old personality and reconnects with his sister.

Terapagos awakens

What happens at the bottom of the Underdepths (click to reveal)

Deep below, Terapagos sleeps inside a crystal. Urged on by Briar, Kieran frees it and, afraid the Pokémon will choose you the way Ogerpon did, immediately captures it with a Master Ball. He challenges you with Terapagos… and loses. Briar suggests he Terastallize it: Terapagos takes on its Stellar Form, severs its bond with Kieran, breaks the Master Ball and threatens to destroy the cavern. Terrified, Kieran then helps you fight and capture it.

Terapagos, the Terastal Pokémon

Terapagos is a Normal-type legendary Pokémon whose shell evokes the different types. It has three forms: Normal, Terastal (which it takes as soon as it enters battle) and Stellar (when it Terastallizes).

The battle against Stellar Terapagos is tough (Lv. 85). Aim for a team of Lv. 80 and up, with some Fighting types (Normal-types fear them) and sturdy Pokémon: its Stellar Form hits very hard.

The return and the post-story

Kieran apologizes and becomes your friend again. Once the DLC story is finished, plenty of new features open up:

  • your Tera Orb no longer needs to be recharged, thanks to Terapagos’s influence;
  • someone in Classroom 3-2 gives your Koraidon / Miraidon the ability to truly fly;
  • the League Club Room can invite special guests: Paldea’s Gym Leaders and Elite Four, whom you can battle;
  • a Blueberry Academy contact shows you photos of new Paradox Pokémon to find in Area Zero: Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt / Iron Boulder and Iron Crown;
  • a legend enthusiast helps you lure legendary Pokémon from previous generations using treats.

What’s next? The free epilogue: Mochi Mayhem.
