The start of the epilogue
With the Mythical Pecha Berry, go to the fishing shop in Mossui Town, in Kitakami, and examine the strange plush toy in the window. It moves… then disappears. Arven calls you: he’d like to stop by your place, in Cabo Poco. He arrives with Nemona and Penny, and a letter from Kieran invites you to Kitakami, along with your Paldea friends.
The mochi curse
In Mossui Town, Nemona faces Kieran and beats him easily. But Carmine bursts in dancing frantically, as if possessed, and talks only about mochi. That evening, Nemona disappears too. While searching for her with Kieran, you discover that villagers are also possessed, surrounded by a purple aura:
- The neighbors challenge you to a Double Battle.
- At the Kitakami Hall, Kieran and Carmine’s grandparents succumb in turn after eating a mochi, and attack you.
- Back in Mossui Town, a mysterious round Pokémon throws mochi from the roof of the fishing shop: Arven and Penny swallow some and battle you.
- The Pokémon flees to Loyalty Plaza, where the possessed villagers and Nemona are waiting for you.
Pecharunt
PecharuntPoisonGhostPecharunt · Poison/Ghost · Mythical Pokémon
The one behind all this is Pecharunt, a Poison/Ghost-type Mythical Pokémon. Long ago, it was the one that sent the Loyal Three to steal Ogerpon’s masks, before falling into a long sleep. Its bewitched mochi enslave whoever eats them.
- It is Lv. 88 and has twice as much HP as a normal Pokémon for this battle.
- It uses Nasty Plot (which sharply raises its Special Attack), Toxic, Shadow Ball and its signature move, a poisonous chain that can badly poison.
- It fears Psychic, Ghost, Ground and Dark, and is immune to Normal and Fighting.
- Send out Ogerpon or one of the Loyal Three for a special reaction…

Once it’s defeated, its capture is guaranteed. Everyone who was possessed comes to their senses, and you leave Kitakami a few days later, after one last evening with Kieran and Carmine.
