The False Dragon Titan lives up to its name: the “dragon” terrorizing Casseroya Lake isn’t what you’d think. It’s a tiny, very clever Tatsugiri piloting an enormous Dondozo from inside its mouth. It’s the strongest Titan in the game.

Finding the Titan
Casseroya Lake is in northwestern Paldea. You need Swim to reach the island in the middle of the lake. Arven calls you along the way: the Titan is supposedly in the lake, but nobody has ever seen it.
On the island, many Tatsugiri await. Almost all of them say “Oh! Soo! Shi!” and start an ordinary battle if you talk to them. Look for the one that says “Domi! Nan!”: that’s the real Titan.
The fight
- First battle against Dondozo, piloted by the Titan Tatsugiri.
- The duo eats the Spicy Herba Mystica and comes back stronger.
- Second battle with Arven (and his Greedent): you face Dondozo, then Tatsugiri itself.

Dondozo fears Grass and Electric moves. It has enormous HP and very good Defense. Its Unaware ability makes it ignore your stat changes: no point using Swords Dance or Calm Mind against it, just hit it directly.

Tatsugiri only fears Dragon and Fairy moves, and resists Fire, Water and Steel. It knows Muddy Water, Icy Wind (which lowers your Speed), Dragon Pulse and Taunt, which stops your Pokémon from using status moves.
The ideal team combines an Electric or Grass Pokémon for Dondozo and a Fairy Pokémon for Tatsugiri. Aim for Lv. 57.

Why Arven was looking for the herbs (click to reveal)
Arven was looking for the Herba Mystica to heal his Mabosstiff, gravely injured by an unknown Pokémon in the Great Crater of Paldea. That Mabosstiff has always been there for him, while his parent, Professor Sada / Professor Turo, was absorbed in research. Thanks to the five herbs, Mabosstiff is finally healed.
Soon after, the Professor / the Professor calls and arranges to meet you at the hidden lab in the lighthouse on Poco Path, which only Arven can open. There, you’re asked to come to Area Zero. Arven challenges you to make sure you’re ready.
