The Test: Emotion Fitness

The test is a fitness program invented by Tulip. It takes place on the fitness court, to the left as you leave the Gym. Your coach is none other than Dendra, the Academy’s battle teacher, who regularly helps Tulip out.

The idea: within a time limit, reproduce the emotion shown by Dendra and her Medicham by pressing the right button.

Our Strategy

  • Farigiraf (Normal/Psychic) has the ability Armor Tail: it blocks priority moves like Sucker Punch or Quick Attack. Being Normal, it is also immune to Ghost. Use regular Dark or Bug moves.
  • Gardevoir (Psychic/Fairy) only takes normal damage from Dark and Bug, and strongly resists Fighting. It does fear Poison, Ghost and Steel, however.
  • Espathra knows Shadow Ball to hit your Psychic and Ghost Pokémon.
  • Florges (Fairy) Terastallizes into Psychic. Once Psychic, it fears Bug, Ghost and Dark, but keeps Moonblast, a Fairy move that crushes your Dark and Fighting Pokémon.

Dark, Ghost and Bug types hit most of the team. Dark Pokémon are also immune to Psychic moves. For Gardevoir, keep a Steel or Poison move handy.
