The 18 objectives, from easiest to hardest

The five-step plan
By grouping the objectives by region, you cut down on backtracking. Fast travel (by touching a Pokémon Center or a Watchtower) then lets you get back anywhere in an instant.
Step 1 — Around Mesagoza (levels 15 to 21)
- Katy in Cortondo (west) and the Stony Cliff Titan (Klawf) in South Province (Area Three) (east).
- Brassius in Artazon, to the east.
- Then the west: the Open Sky Titan (Bombirdier) and the Segin Squad of Giacomo, both in West Province (Area One).
Key rewards: Dash and above all Swim, which opens up the rivers and the sea.
Step 2 — Heading east, then west (levels 24 to 30)
- Iono in Levincia, on the east coast.
- Mela and the Schedar Squad, in East Province (Area One).
- The Lurking Steel Titan (Orthworm) in the mines of East Province (Area Three): it gives you Jump.
- Kofu in Cascarrafa, in the west.
Step 3 — The heart of the region (levels 33 to 36)
- Atticus and the Navi Squad, deep in Tagtree Thicket.
- Larry in Medali. His Gym’s restaurant is also where you can later change the Tera Type of your Pokémon.
Step 4 — Toward the summits (levels 42 to 48)
- Ryme in Montenevera, on the slopes of Glaseado Mountain.
- Tulip in Alfornada, in the southwest.
- The Quaking Earth Titan in the Asado Desert: it gives you Glide.
- Grusha, at the summit of Glaseado Mountain: the eighth and final badge.
Step 5 — The far north (levels 51 to 57)
- Ortega (Ruchbah Squad) and Eri (Caph Squad), in North Province (Area Three) and (Area Two).
- The False Dragon Titan at Casseroya Lake: it gives you Climb.
Then come the three finales: the League (the Elite Four and Geeta, levels 57 to 62), the battle against Cassiopeia (level 63) and the one against Arven (level 63). Once the three quests are done, the final storyline, The Way Home, opens up.
Can you do it differently?
Yes, and that’s the whole point of an open world. A few tips if you stray from the beaten path:
- Do the Titans early. Swim and Jump make exploration much more enjoyable and give access to hidden items.
- Make use of types. A Pokémon with the type advantage easily makes up for a 5-level gap. Check each opponent’s page: we calculate their weaknesses there.
- Watch out for obedience. Pokémon received in trades above a certain level may disobey until you have enough Gym badges.
- The Exp. Candies earned in Tera Raid Battles let you catch up on levels in a matter of seconds.
