Completing the Alola Pokédex means collecting 302 Pokémon, from Rowlet to Marshadow. The reward is worth it: the Shiny Charm, which triples your chances of running into a Shiny Pokémon. Here is the method, along with the tricky cases.
The Alola Pokédex is completed by catching Pokémon, not just seeing them. Magearna and Marshadow, event Pokémon, are not required to get the Shiny Charm: the game director, in the GAME FREAK offices in Heahea City, hands it over without them.
Work in order: catch everything you come across during the adventure, then fill in the gaps after the Pokémon League with our interactive Pokédex, filtered on “Not wild in my version”.
