🚢Seafolk Village

The boat docks at Seafolk Village, whose houses are former ships moored together: the Pokémon Center, the restaurant, the shop. A helmsman advises you to go and see your old friend Hapu, who lives on the Ancient Poni Path.

🏡The Ancient Poni Path and Hapu

Leave the village to the north, cross the Poni Wilds and head east to the Ancient Poni Path, where Hapu lives. She gives you sad news: Poni has had no Kahuna since her grandfather died two years ago. She suggests asking the island’s guardian deity, Tapu Fini, for advice. Her grandmother registers Machamp in your Ride Pager: Machamp Shove moves big boulders.

🌊The Coast and the Ruins of Hope

Poni Breaker Coast, to the southeast, leads to the ruins. Wimpod scurry across the rocks; the swirling water sometimes hides a Sharpedo. The two Swimmers there, once beaten, give you TM94 Surf and TM98 Waterfall.

In the Ruins of Hope, use Machamp to push the enormous blocks into the holes in the floor, then join Hapu in the guardian deity’s chamber. In front of the altar, she repeats the request that failed two years earlier: to become Kahuna. This time Tapu Fini hears her and grants her the title.

Now a Kahuna, Hapu can speak: to summon the legendary, you must play both flutes on the Altar, at the end of Vast Poni Canyon. The second flute rests at the top of Exeggutor Island. The village helmsman will take you there.
