🌳Access and welcome

After the League, cross the Poni Plains and the Poni Coast, then the Poni Gauntlet, where Mina awaits you. On your first visit, Red and Blue welcome you; you battle one of them, your choice. Blue then reveals that they run the Tree together.

📜The rules

  • Three challenges: Singles, with three Pokémon; Doubles, with four Pokémon, two on the field; Multi, with a partner controlled by the console or a friend locally, two Pokémon each.
  • Two difficulties: normal mode ends after 20 wins; it unlocks Super mode, which has no limit.
  • All Pokémon are brought down to level 50 if they are stronger; your opponents are always level 50.
  • No Bag items, no money or experience; your Pokémon are healed after every battle.
  • No duplicates: two identical Pokémon or two identical held items are forbidden. Top-tier legendaries, such as Solgaleo, Lunala or Necrozma, are banned; the guardian deities and Ultra Beasts are allowed.
  • You can take a break after any battle and resume later.

🏆Rewards

Every win earns BP, to exchange for items: evolution items, competitive held items (Choice Band, Choice Scarf, Rocky Helmet, Protective Pads…) and Mega Stones: Mega Evolution is possible after the League, once Dexio has given you the Key Stone on the Ancient Poni Path. The receptionist also gives out gifts at consecutive-win milestones, from a Moomoo Milk after 5 wins to a Silver Bottle Cap after 30 and an Ability Capsule after 50.
