Po Town used to be a peaceful town. Team Skull has turned it into a vacant lot covered in graffiti, barricaded, under a rain that never stops. The Aether House Yungoos is being held in the Shady House, at the very back.

🚧The gates of Po Town

Two Grunts guard the town entrance, with a Haunter and a Drowzee at level 34. Once beaten, they make way for a tired man in a policeman’s outfit: Nanu. He has his own scores to settle with Team Skull, but advises you to turn back. You go in anyway.

The town is a maze of barricades. Slip through the hole in the hedge on the left, defeat the Grunts guarding the passages, crawl to the left of the second barricade: the path to the Shady House opens. There are sixteen Trainers in the house and a few more in town; not all of them are mandatory.

🔑The three passwords

Two Grunts greet you at the entrance of the Shady House. Inside, a Grunt guards the staircase: he will only let you pass if you give him Team Skull’s passwords, scribbled on pieces of paper in the rooms on the ground floor and upstairs.

  1. In the northwest room on the ground floor, the first paper gives “Beat Up”.
  2. In a room to the right of the staircase, the second gives “Skitty Chocolate”, with a piece of advice: always answer no.
  3. On the first floor, in the third accessible room, the last gives “Golisopod”.
  4. Give the three words to the Grunt, then answer “no” to his final question.

Impressed, he lets you through. One last Grunt guards the balcony; then go into the last room: Guzma’s bedroom. On the first floor, do not miss TM36 Sludge Bomb, in the farthest northwest bedroom.

Our strategy

Ariados, level 36, reduces Fire damage with its water bubble. Electric, Rock or Flying.
Golisopod, level 37, hits very hard with its claws. It pulls out when its HP falls below half: take advantage of it to weaken its replacement. Electric, Rock and Flying hit it hard.

Beaten a second time, Guzma orders that the Yungoos be returned. In the chest next to his seat, take the Buginium Z. Nanu joins you, heals your Pokémon, and Acerola picks up the Yungoos to take it back to Aether House.
