Vast Poni Canyon is Alola’s Victory Road: three caves, dizzying cliffs, some thirty seasoned trainers and, at the very end, a Trial so ancient that it no longer has a Captain.

🏜️The first caves
From the entrance, trainers come one after another: an elderly trainer with a Torkoal and an Arcanine, a Hiker, a pair of Ace Trainers with an Alolan Ninetales and an Alolan Sandslash. All three of your rides come in handy here: Tauros to smash rocks, Mudsdale to cross the rocky ground of the second cave, Machamp for the blocks.
After the second cave, a scene plays out on the bridge; Lillie heals your team. In the third cave, push the top block toward the hole, take the Full Restore, push the bottom block to the right and then the last one upward: a staircase opens up. A Scientist and a Delinquent guard the exit.
🧚Mina and the Fairium Z
In the middle of the big wooden bridge, a young painter approaches you: Mina, the Fairy-type Captain. She has no Trial to put you through, but she gives you the Fairium Z. Finish the crossing, beat the Delinquent and his Pangoro, push the block in the last cave to open a shortcut back to the entrance, and exit through the north. Three more trainers await in a row, with level 46 and 47 Pokémon.
🐉The abandoned Trial
A Trial gate at the end of the canyon: there is no Captain, but a Trial created very long ago to protect the Altar. It is simple: two battles, a Jangmo-o and then a Hakamo-o, and the Totem Pokémon.

Take the Dragonium Z at the end of the Trial, and TM02 Dragon Claw in the cave. Head out: the Altar is right in front of you.
