Some Unova Pokémon change appearance with the seasons, with anger or with a song. And the region also offers ways to transform a few Pokémon from elsewhere. Here are all the forms and variants to know about in Black and White.

🦌Deerling and Sawsbuck, the deer of the seasons

Their coat follows the current season: pink in spring, green in summer, orange in autumn and brown in winter. The form changes nothing about their stats. The Season Research Lab on Route 6 rewards those who show it all four forms.

🔥Darmanitan and Zen Mode

With its Hidden Ability Zen Mode, Darmanitan freezes in meditation when its HP drops below half: it then becomes Fire and Psychic, with a very high Special Attack. The only Darmanitan of this type in the game wakes up among the statues of Desert Resort, holding a Rage Candy Bar.

🐟The two Basculin

Basculin comes in two forms, with a red stripe and a blue stripe, with different Abilities. On the water, the red form is found in Black and the blue one in White; the other form hides in the water shadows. In Driftveil City, a kid trades a Basculin of the other form for a Minccino.

🎶Meloetta, Keldeo and Genesect

  • Meloetta switches from its Aria Forme (Normal and Psychic) to its Pirouette Forme (Normal and Fighting) by using Relic Song in battle. The musician at the café on Narrow Street in Castelia City can make an event Meloetta remember this move.
  • Keldeo can learn Secret Sword by going to the Moor of Icirrus accompanied by Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion.
  • Genesect changes the color and type of its Techno Blast depending on the Drive it holds.

🌍Forms of Pokémon from other regions

  • Rotom changes form in the ground-floor warehouse of Shopping Mall Nine, by interacting with the boxes of electrical appliances. A Rotom is also offered to you in a trade on Route 15.
  • Deoxys changes form on contact with the meteorite in the Nacrene City museum.
