The Dreamyard is the ruins of an ancient research center, overgrown with vegetation. They say Munna eat the dreams of visitors there. Fennel needs their Dream Mist, but Team Plasma covets it too.

🌳The ruins

Cut the small tree at the northwest entrance of the ruins. In the tall grass, among barrels and steel beams, live Munna (fairly rare), Patrat and Purrloin. In the rustling grass, with a bit of luck, you will come across a level 11 Musharna, its evolved form.

Munna evolves into Musharna with a Moon Stone. It is a sturdy Psychic Pokémon that can learn Yawn and Dream Eater: a good recruit for the rest of the adventure.

🌙Team Plasma and Munna

In the heart of the ruins, Bianca helplessly witnesses a shocking scene: two Team Plasma Grunts are hitting a Munna to make it spit out its Dream Mist. The supposed liberator of Pokémon shows his true face. You battle them one after the other: a Patrat, then a Purrloin, both at level 10.

A Musharna then appears and plunges the Grunts into an illusion that makes them flee. It leaves behind some Dream Mist, which Fennel, who has arrived in the meantime, collects with enthusiasm.

📡The C-Gear

Return to Fennel’s lab in Striaton City. Thanks to the Mist, she completes her invention and gives you the C-Gear, which now occupies the DS touch screen. Her sister Amanita gives you the Pal Pad. Fennel also explains Game Sync to you, which sent a sleeping Pokémon to the online Pokémon Dream World.

The communication hub

Infrared to trade and battle with a friend, Game Sync for the Dream World, and the Entralink to visit your friends’ worlds and earn Pass Powers. Our C-Gear and Entralink guide details every function.

Pokémon Dream World

Dreams online

The Dream World made it possible to obtain Pokémon with their Hidden Ability. The service closed in January 2014. See our guide.

🔑After the League: the basement

A bollard blocks access to the ruins’ basement until the end of the story. After defeating Ghetsis, you will find Scientists and Psychics at level 63 to 65 there, who walk in circles and ignore you: talk to them to battle them. The southern area hides Gorm, one of Team Plasma’s Seven Sages, who gives you TM75 Swords Dance. And every Friday, a level 50 Musharna with its Hidden Ability Telepathy waits for you in the west part of the basement. Everything is detailed at step 30.

With your first Badge in hand, Unova opens up to the north. Next stop: Route 3 and the Pokémon Day Care.
