Team Plasma does not steal Pokémon to get rich: it claims to free them. Its Grunts, dressed as knights, preach in public squares that Pokémon are slaves and must be released. Behind this speech is a man, Ghetsis, who made a sincere young man, N, the king of his organization.

Natural Harmonia Gropius has heard the voice of Pokémon since childhood. Raised apart from the world by Ghetsis, among Pokémon mistreated by humans, he sincerely believes that freeing Pokémon will make them happy.
Ghetsis
Ghetsis Harmonia Gropius founded Team Plasma and adopted N. A formidable speaker, he does not want to free Pokémon: he wants to be the only one able to use them to dominate Unova.
The Seven Sages
Gorm, Bronius, Rood, Zinzolin, Giallo, Ryoku and their leader Ghetsis. Apart from Ghetsis, their names evoke colors. After the story, Looker asks you to find the other six.
We must also add the Shadow Triad, three masked men of astonishing speed, Ghetsis’s most loyal servants, and Anthea and Concordia, two young women who grew up with N at the castle.
