At the end of Route 7 stands Twist Mountain, a mining mountain hollowed out with galleries. It is one of the places in Unova that changes the most with the seasons: in winter, snow opens up some passages and closes others. Cheren is waiting for you at the entrance, and Alder is not far.

Our strategy

Unfezant holds a Scope Lens, which increases its critical hits, and Liepard a Sitrus Berry. His monkey holds the item that boosts its type. Knock out Unfezant first with an Electric, Ice or Rock attack.

After the battle, Alder appears and gives you HM03 Surf. A new part of Unova opens up to you: many routes you have already visited hide areas reachable only by water.

❄️A mountain that changes with the seasons

Twist Mountain is a maze of galleries linked by an outdoor area. A Nurse heals your team once defeated. The Pokémon you meet change with the season:

  • Cubchoo, an Ice cub, is far more common in winter; it will become Beartic at Level 37;
  • Cryogonal, an Ice snowflake, is rare all year round, a little more common in winter;
  • Gurdurr, a Fighting type that will become Conkeldurr by trade, becomes rare in winter;
  • the swirling dust clouds hide Drilbur.

Do not miss TM91 Flash Cannon in the Ice Stone cave, to the east: near this stone, an Eevee evolves into Glaceon. A Moon Stone is also hidden behind a worker in the northeast cave.
