A castle bursts from the ground and encircles the Pokémon League: N’s Castle, secretly built by Team Plasma over the course of years. This is where everything is decided. At last, your Stone is about to awaken.
- Objective
- Climb to the throne room, catch the dragon of the legend and defeat N, then Ghetsis
- Enemies
- the Seven Sages, N, Ghetsis
- Encounter
- Reshiram (Black) or Zekrom (White), level 50
- Recommended level
- 52 to 55
🏰The Gym Leaders to the rescue
On the ground floor, six of the Seven Sages block your way. But the Gym Leaders of Unova arrive as reinforcements (all except the Striaton brothers, whom Bianca didn’t warn in time) and hold the Sages back: the way is clear.
On the first floor, a member of the Shadow Triad points you to the room of Anthea and Concordia, who grew up with N. Anthea heals your team, and Concordia tells you about N’s childhood, raised by Ghetsis away from the world. The second floor has a PC; a Grunt in the third room can take you back to the League’s Pokémon Center and bring you back. On the third floor, N’s room, wallpapered with clouds, is full of toys scratched by Pokémon.
🐉The Stone awakens
On the fourth floor, Ghetsis guards the entrance to the throne room. Inside, N calls his dragon. Your Stone then reacts and gives way to the other dragon of the legend.
In Black, N is alongside Zekrom; your Light Stone becomes Reshiram, level 50, Dragon and Fire.
In White, N is alongside Reshiram; your Dark Stone becomes Zekrom, level 50, Dragon and Electric.
You must catch it to continue: if you knock it out, the battle starts over. Weaken it without knocking it out, put it to sleep or paralyze it, then throw Ultra Balls or Timer Balls (more effective as the turns go by). Save your Master Ball for Tornadus or Thundurus.
👑The final battle against N
N heals your team before the battle. Put the dragon you just caught in your party: it will be your best asset.

His dragon (level 52) always opens the battle with its signature move: Fusion Bolt for Zekrom (unless your first Pokémon is a Ground type), Fusion Flare for Reshiram. The Dragon attacks of your own dragon deal double damage to it, as does Ice against Zekrom.
His five other Pokémon are level 50: Carracosta, Vanilluxe, Archeops, Zoroark and Klinklang. Zoroark can take on the appearance of another Pokémon thanks to its Illusion Ability: if a move has an unexpected effect, it’s him.
🎭Ghetsis unmasks himself
N has lost. Ghetsis then enters the throne room and reveals the truth: he never wanted to free the Pokémon. He wanted to be the only one able to use them, and N was merely a pawn. He fights you himself.

Hydreigon (level 54), Dark and Dragon, is the centerpiece: it fears Fighting, Bug, Ice and Dragon. Your legendary dragon hits it very hard with its Dragon attacks.
Eelektross has no weaknesses thanks to Levitate: hit it with your most powerful attacks. Seismitoad, Water and Ground, takes quadruple damage from Grass. Bisharp takes quadruple damage from Fighting. Cofagrigus and Bouffalant round out the team.
🌌N’s departure
With Ghetsis defeated, he is cast aside. N atones before Alder, then confides that he couldn’t win: he had understood nothing about Pokémon. He calls his dragon one last time, bids you farewell and flies off into the distance. The credits roll: you have saved Unova.
But the adventure doesn’t end here: the whole east of Unova remains to be discovered. Next step: the post-League.
