A Shiny Pokémon, with colors different from those of its species, remains the hunter’s ultimate trophy. In Black and White there is no Poké Radar and no Shiny Charm: you need to know the right methods and arm yourself with patience. Here is everything that works in Unova.
The Pokédex in Black and White has a new feature: it lets you compare the normal and Shiny appearance of every Pokémon you have seen. Handy for picking your target.
A Shiny Pokémon can also be recognized when it enters battle, accompanied by a sparkle. Stay alert: there is no other way to tell it apart in the grass.
