Route 6 is the route of the seasons: its Deerling change coats every month, and a research lab is dedicated to them. Further north, Chargestone Cave is so charged with electricity that the rocks float there. Three masked figures are waiting for you inside.

🦌Route 6 and the Season Research Lab

The star Pokémon of the route is Deerling: its coat changes with each season (pink in spring, green in summer, orange in autumn, brown in winter). Show all four forms to a scientist at the Season Research Lab to earn a Leaf Stone. In the house north of the lab, a child gives you a Shiny Stone, just what you need to evolve Minccino into Cinccino.

In winter, Vanillite replaces Tranquill in the tall grass. With Surf, the north bank leads to Mistralton Cave, which you will explore later.

🪨The entrance to Chargestone Cave

In front of the cave, Clay finally hands you TM78 Bulldoze. Professor Juniper joins you and gives you a Lucky Egg: held by a Pokémon, it increases the experience gained by 50%. Give it to the weakest Pokémon on your team.

⚡The floating rocks

The cave’s electromagnetic current makes charged rocks levitate. They block the way and can only be pushed toward a large fixed rock: think before you push. The swirling dust clouds hide Drilbur or items. The cave’s Pokémon are all new:

  • JoltikBugElectric

Joltik, Bug and Electric, will become Galvantula at Level 36.

  • FerroseedGrassSteel

Ferroseed, Grass and Steel, will become Ferrothorn at Level 40. Slow but very sturdy.

  • KlinkSteel

Klink, a Steel gear, will become Klang and then Klinklang.

  • TynamoElectric

Tynamo, very rare: it will become Eelektrik and then Eelektross, with no weakness thanks to Levitate.

  • RoggenrolaRock

Roggenrola and Boldore are here too.

A Nurse, once defeated, will heal your team as often as you like. And to the south, the Nugget brothers give you two Nuggets.

🥷The Shadow Triad and N

Team Plasma Grunts block the cave. Then three masked men, quick as lightning, burst in: the Shadow Triad, in the service of Ghetsis. They lead you straight to N. He asks you what your dream is, then makes your rivalry official, before calling out Professor Juniper about the fate of Pokémon.

Our strategy

N’s four Pokémon are Level 28 and all come from the cave. Boldore fears Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground and Steel. Ferroseed fears only Fire, but quadruply so, and Fighting. Joltik fears Fire and Rock. Klink fears Fire, Fighting and Ground. A Fire Pokémon does most of the work here.

At the north exit of the cave, Mistralton City and its airport. Next step: Mistralton City and the Celestial Tower.
