Twenty-eight Trainers in Johto and Kanto will give you their phone number. Handled well, they become an endless source of experience, money and rare items: evolution stones, Nuggets, vitamins and even a PP Up.
The PokéGear can only hold around ten numbers, so you have to choose. This guide lists every Trainer involved, where to find them, their first team and what they can give you, then suggests an ideal selection.
The teams listed are those from the first battle: with each rematch, and as you earn more Badges, their Pokémon gain levels and sometimes evolve.
