How long does it take to see the end credits? A lot less than you might think: much of Johto is optional. This guide lays out the shortest glitch-free route, from Professor Elm’s lab to the Hall of Fame.

We cover what is mandatory, what you can skip, the essential HMs, and the battles worth preparing carefully.
