Lavender Town’s Pokémon Tower, where departed Pokémon rested, has given way to the Kanto Radio Tower. The town keeps its melancholy air and its so distinctive music. A short visit, but an essential one: without it, the Snorlax in Vermilion City will never wake up.

📻The Kanto Radio Tower

Enter the Radio Tower and talk to the man in black, near the wall. The Power Plant has been repaired thanks to you: to thank you, he installs a Radio Card on your PokéGear, which picks up all of Kanto’s stations. For security reasons, the floors cannot be visited.

The PokéGear's Radio Card

Among the new stations, one broadcasts the Poké Flute tune. Tune the radio to it in front of a sleeping Pokémon: it wakes up immediately. This is the key to moving the Snorlax blocking Diglett’s Cave, near Vermilion City.

🏠In town

The Volunteer Pokémon House continues to take in abandoned Pokémon. Lavender Town is also the gateway to Routes 8 (toward Saffron City and Celadon City) and 12 (south, toward Fuchsia City). On Route 12, a Fisherman lives in a house to the south: he gives you the Super Rod, the best rod in the game.
