🏔️Mt. Silver

At the foot of the mountain, an isolated Pokémon Center welcomes you. Register it as a Fly destination: you will need it to come back and train. The wild Pokémon are the strongest in the game, and this is where you find wild Larvitar, the future Tyranitar.

🧭Mt. Silver Cave

  1. First floor: the path is fairly direct. Follow the cave north, taking advantage of the wild Pokémon to train.
  2. Second floor: three exits are available. The one leading to the summit is at the top left; the other two require Surf and Waterfall and lead to rare items.
  3. Third floor: go straight up. The last room leads out to the snowy summit.

Our strategy

Six Pokémon between levels 73 and 81, the strongest team in the game. Pikachu (81) opens with Thunder and Thunderbolt: a Ground-type Pokémon stops it cold (it also knows Charm). Espeon is fast and hits hard with Psychic: use a Dark-type move (Umbreon, Sneasel, Tyranitar). Snorlax is the most formidable: with Amnesia, Rest, then Snore, it can hold out indefinitely. Hit it hard and fast, ideally with a Fighting-type move, and use Toxic or Nightmare while it sleeps. Venusaur plays the sun (Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Synthesis): Fire, Ice, Flying or Psychic. Charizard fears Rock (quadruple damage), Water and Electric. Blastoise uses Blizzard in the rain: Electric and Grass.

🎬The ending… and beyond

Once defeated, Red disappears without a word and the credits roll one last time. The story is over, but there is still so much to do: complete the Pokédex (251 Pokémon), catch the legendaries and the roaming beasts, breed shinies, collect all 26 Unown…
