Four hundred and ninety-three Pokémon: that is the size of the Fourth Generation National Pokédex. No single version lets you catch them all by itself. Here is, method by method, how to bring them together, with the interactive National Pokédex and the list of what your version is missing.
The strategy comes down to four steps: everything you can catch in your own version, then the other version’s exclusives, then the Pokémon from the Game Boy Advance games via Pal Park, and finally event Pokémon, on their own.
The National Pokédex below shows, for each Pokémon, whether it can be found in the wild in Diamond, Pearl or Platinum, and where.
