Route 204 and Floaroma Town

With the Coal Badge in your pocket, you return to Jubilife City: the path north finally opens. But a disturbing organization, dressed in futuristic suits, is starting to make waves. Team Galactic enters the scene.

🌌Team Galactic in Jubilife City

At the north exit of Jubilife City, two Team Galactic Grunts have surrounded Professor Rowan and his assistant: they want their research. Dawn (or Lucas) offers to battle alongside you: it’s your first Double Battle, two Pokémon against two. The Grunts only have Pokémon from level 9 to 11 and quickly flee.

A journalist who saw it all gives you the Fashion Case, which will hold your Pokémon’s accessories. Several buildings in the city are now open: the Global Terminal and the Jubilife TV building, with its daily lottery.

🌼Route 204

The route climbs north. Its southern part, between Jubilife City and the Ravaged Path, is peaceful: a Paralyze Heal awaits north of the pond. Budew and Shinx are common in the tall grass.

The Ravaged Path is a short cave. Break the rock on the left with Rock Smash to get TM39 Rock Tomb, then the one on the right to get through. Two other items, including TM03 Water Pulse, require Surf: you’ll be back.

The northern part of the route has several trainers, including the Twins and their two Pachirisu, in a Double Battle. Pick up the Awakening above the cave exit and TM09 Bullet Seed between two flowerbeds. TM78 Captivate, offered by an Ace Trainer, requires the HM Cut.

🌸Floaroma Town

A village lost in a sea of flowers. According to local legend, the hill was bare until a resident expressed gratitude to nature; it then blossomed with flowers. This tale evokes Shaymin, the Gratitude Pokémon.

1. At the florist A Bouquet of Colors, a customer gives you the Sprayduck to water the Berries you plant. Another gives you a random Berry every day.
2. In the neighboring house, a little girl asks you a question: answer “Yes” to receive TM88 Pluck.
3. Two Berry trees grow in front of the shop: pick their Oran and Cheri Berries.

The path north, toward Floaroma Meadow, is blocked by two Team Galactic Grunts. You can’t get through for now: continue east, onto Route 205.

💨A cry for help

On Route 205, a little girl begs you to go rescue her father: strange men have taken over his workplace, Valley Windworks, the power plant a little further east. A Grunt guards the entrance. Beat him: he locks himself inside the plant and leaves you outside. Further north, two other Grunts block the bridge. You need to find the key: go back to Floaroma Town.

🍯Floaroma Meadow

The two Grunts in the Meadow have taken the Honey seller hostage. Beat them one after the other: they flee, dropping the Works Key. The grateful seller gives you some Honey (ten jars in Platinum).

Honey is spread on the golden Honey Trees you’ll come across on the routes. Six hours later, a Pokémon is drawn to it: Wurmple, Combee, Cherubi, Aipom, Heracross, and even the very rare Munchlax. The seller sells some every day in the Meadow, at ₽100 a jar. It’s all explained in our guide to Honey Trees.
