Team Galactic has built a building in the heart of Eterna City. It is holding the bike shop owner’s Clefairy there, and one of its commanders, Jupiter, is taking a keen interest in the city’s statue. It is time to see what is going on behind those walls.

🏢The floors of the building
Cut the bushes northwest of the city to reach the entrance. Inside, a series of staircases connects the floors: those leading higher are marked by a small sign. About ten grunts and a scientist await you, with level 12 to 19 Pokémon: Zubat, Glameow, Stunky, Croagunk…
In Platinum, a grunt stops you right at the entrance… before dropping the disguise: it is Looker, undercover to investigate. He advises you to be very careful. The building also hides a few items in its dead ends, including a Blue Shard and the Upgrade, near Jupiter.

On the top floor, Jupiter is guarding the Clefairy stolen from the bike shop owner. She explains that Team Galactic is studying the legends of Sinnoh, before challenging you.

Skuntank, Poison and Dark, has only one weakness: Ground. A Geodude (Magnitude), a Torterra in the making or a strong Pokémon will do. Beware of Smokescreen, which lowers your accuracy, and of Poison Gas.
Skuntank holds a Sitrus Berry, which restores a quarter of its HP when they drop below half.
Team Galactic evacuates the building. The bike shop owner gets his Clefairy back and invites you to stop by his shop.
🚲The Bicycle and the Explorer Kit
At the bike shop, the owner gives you a two-speed Bicycle: the first for tight turns, the second, faster, for climbing mud slopes and clearing jumps. Switch between them with the B button.
Pay a visit to the Underground Man, in the house east of the Pokémon Center: he gives you the Explorer Kit, which opens up access to Sinnoh’s Underground. There you dig into the walls to find spheres, evolution stones, plates and fossils, and set up your Secret Base. He will then give you several missions. Our Underground guide explains everything.
In Platinum, Cynthia is waiting for you at the Pokémon Center and entrusts you with an Egg. A Togepi will hatch from it, which evolves into Togetic through happiness, then into Togekiss with a Shiny Stone.
📦Before leaving
South of the city, the gatehouse leads to the Cycling Road on Route 206. Professor Rowan’s assistant is waiting there: if your Pokédex has at least 35 Pokémon seen, he gives you the Exp. Share, which shares experience with the Pokémon holding it, even if it does not battle.
