In the days of Diamond and Pearl, the Wii gave your Sinnoh Pokémon a second life in 3D. Pokémon Battle Revolution made them fight in spectacular arenas, while My Pokémon Ranch let them roam around a ranch. Here is what these two games offered, how they communicated with the DS, and what you can still do with them.
These two titles are collectors’ curiosities today, but they made their mark: they were the first to show Pokémon raised on the DS on the big screen.
Their online services shut down along with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection in 2014, and My Pokémon Ranch, sold on the Wii’s online shop, has no longer been available for purchase since that shop closed.
