A subtle new feature of Sinnoh: some golden trees attract Pokémon when you slather Honey on them. It is the only way to meet Munchlax, Combee or Burmy, and the easiest way to find Aipom and Heracross. You just need to know where, when and how long to wait.

There are twenty-one Honey Trees scattered across Sinnoh. You can recognize them by their lighter trunks and golden foliage, often slightly off the beaten path.

All the trees attract the same species, with a single exception: Munchlax, which is limited to a few trees.

🍯How it works

  1. Get some Honey: a resident of Floaroma Meadow sells it, and Pokémon with the Ability Pickup or Honey Gather (Combee) sometimes find it.
  2. Stand in front of a Honey Tree and press A: the game offers to slather Honey on it.
  3. Come back at least six hours later, but within twenty-four hours: after that, the Pokémon leaves.
  4. If the tree shakes, a Pokémon is hiding in it: press A to battle it.

  • Exceptional: Munchlax, the baby form of Snorlax.
