No region has a mythology as ambitious as Sinnoh’s. Its legends tell nothing less than the creation of the universe: an egg in the chaos, a primordial being, time, space, antimatter, and three spirits who gave living beings knowledge, emotion and willpower. Here is that mythology as the games tell it, and how it sheds light on the story of Diamond, Pearl and Platinum.
These legends are scattered throughout the game: books in the Canalave Library, carvings in the Celestic Ruins, stories from Cynthia and her grandmother, Pokédex entries. Put together, they form a coherent tale.
This guide offers an overview of the myth, then shows how Cyrus’s plan, the Red Chain and the Distortion World fit into it.
