A Pokémon is only as good as its moves. Here, for the best recruits in Kalos, is the ideal set for the adventure: powerful, reliable moves that cover as many types as possible, and that you can all get before the Pokémon League, by level-up or by TM.
Three rules guide these sets. First, two moves of the Pokémon’s own type at most, to get the type bonus without redundancy. Then, coverage moves that hit its weaknesses. Finally, a status move only if it really changes battles.
