A port down below, an upper town on the cliff and a monorail between the two: Coumarine City is Le Havre. At the very top, the Gym hides a giant tree where Ramos, the gardener of Kalos, reigns.

⚓The lower town
The port market has an incense vendor and an unoccupied Berry Stand: touch the counter to collect a free Berry every day. Between the stands and Coastal Station, a Fisherman gives you the Good Rod.
- The Pier Hotel: a girl gives you a Lucky Egg if your first Pokémon is very fond of you. A valuable item: it increases experience gained by half.
- West of the Hotel, a girl asks a question every day: answer correctly and she gives you a TM among TM62, TM63, TM92 and TM100.
- The houses: a Silk Scarf near the lighthouse, a Black Sludge in the bridge house, and a Poké Toy south of the Center if you guess which cry the lady is imitating.
🚁Sycamore, Diantha and HM Fly
Your rival writes to you on the Holo Caster: they are waiting for you in front of the Gym, in the upper town. As you enter Coastal Station, you run into Professor Sycamore in the company of Diantha, the famous actress. They talk about Mega Evolution, and the Professor gives you HM02 Fly: you can now fly to every town you have already visited.
Take the monorail to Hill Station, where a man gives you a Metronome, then join your rival.

🌳Ramos’s tree Gym
The Gym entrance is carved into the cliff. Inside stands a giant tree: climb up the vines and swing from one to the next to find the right path to the Gym Leader. Four Pokémon Rangers await you along the way. Once Ramos is defeated, a slide takes you back to the entrance.

Ability: Sap Sipper
Jumpluff (level 30, Grass and Flying) strikes with Acrobatics and drains your HP with Leech Seed. Ice deals four times the damage to it; Fire, Rock, Flying and Poison hit it just as hard.
Weepinbell (level 31, Grass and Poison) puts you to sleep or poisons you: Psychic, Fire, Ice and Flying beat it.
Gogoat (level 34), the strongest, takes hits thanks to Sap Sipper, which nullifies Grass attacks. It strikes with Bulldoze and Take Down: a Fire or Ice attack takes care of it.
Watch out for Grass Knot, which all three know: the heavier your Pokémon, the more it hurts. Your Lapras, very heavy and a Water type, will take it full force: save it for Jumpluff.
Ramos hands you the Plant Badge and TM86 Grass Knot.
As you leave town to the south, Lysandre calls you on the Holo Caster and says strange things. In the bridge house, Sina and Dexio interrupt you to add the Mountain Kalos Pokédex, the third part of your Pokédex.
Next step: Route 13 and Kalos Power Plant.
