🏔️Snowbelle City

The town recalls Belfort and its famous gap, known for its harsh winters. Its Gym, a golden building with a blue roof, gives off cold air that keeps the whole town under snow.

  • The Move Tutor teaches the ultimate Grass, Fire and Water moves, Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn and Hydro Cannon, to all fully evolved starter Pokémon, whatever their region.
  • The house on the left behind the Center: a girl gives you TM08 Bulk Up.
  • The Pokémon Center: the O-Power expert gives you a PP Recovery O-Power.
  • The house furthest to the north-west, between the two bridges: a young woman trades her Bisharp for a Jigglypuff, which you can find on Route 20.
  • Hidden items: an Icy Rock and an X Sp. Atk in the tree near the Move Tutor’s house.

🧊The iceberg Gym

The inside of the Gym is an enormous iceberg surrounded by sliding platforms in four colors: pink, blue, yellow and green. Step on the switches to rotate the platforms and open a path to Wulfric. Each switch is guarded by an Ace Trainer: no battle can be avoided. After your victory, a slide across the ice takes you back to the entrance.

Our strategy

Abomasnow (level 56, Ice and Grass) sets off hail with Snow Warning, which hurts your Pokémon every turn. Fire hits it for four times the damage; Fighting, Poison, Flying, Bug, Rock and Steel also take it down.
Cryogonal (level 55) floats thanks to Levitate: there is no point in using Ground. It confuses with Confuse Ray. Target it with Fire, Fighting, Rock or Steel, preferably on the physical side.
Avalugg (level 59) is a physical wall. It hits with Avalanche and Gyro Ball, and Curse makes it even sturdier and even slower, and so even stronger with Gyro Ball. Its Special Defense is low: a Flamethrower or a special Fighting move knocks it out quickly.

Wulfric gives you the Iceberg Badge, the eighth and last, and TM13 Ice Beam. Victory Road awaits.

Next step: Route 21 and Victory Road.
