A short cave, then the cliffs of the west coast: Kalos changes its look. Sina and Dexio add a second part to your Pokédex, and the little town of Ambrette Town awaits you with its aquarium and fossil lab.

⛰️Connecting Cave

Coming from the north of Route 7, a Hiker points you to the south entrance: large boulders block the other passages. A Scientist heals your team in the middle of the south corridor. There you will meet Zubat, Whismur, Meditite and, more rarely, Axew, the future Haxorus.

You will come back later with HM04 Strength to open the other passages and pick up TM40 Aerial Ace. A Backpacker in the north corridor also gives you TM21 Frustration.

🧪Ambrette Town

Your rival catches up with you at the town entrance: he wants to ask the Fossil Lab about Mega Evolution. The Scientist doesn’t know much about it, but thinks fossils might be linked to it: he sends you to find his assistant, who has gone digging in Glittering Cave.

  • The aquarium: a Fisherman, in front of the Magikarp statue, gives you the Old Rod. The girl in front of the aquarium gives you TM94 Rock Smash, which breaks cracked rocks.
  • The hotel: the girl on the right, on the ground floor, gives you TM96 Nature Power.
  • The bridge house east of the Lab: a woman gives you a Rocky Helmet.
  • Every day, a man in front of the lab trades a Dive Ball for a Poké Ball, and a girl in the neighboring house gives you a Health Wing if you show her a fast enough Pokémon.
