Stones to touch, items to hold during a trade, battle accessories: Kalos is full of useful items. Here is where to find the ones that make your Pokémon evolve, and the held items that really change battles.
💎Evolution stones
The Stone Emporium in Lumiose City sells evolution stones. You can also find plenty along the adventure:

🤝Items to hold during a trade
- Sachet: Spritzee → Aromatisse. A resident of Cyllage City gives you one in Y, and some can be found on Route 12.
- Whipped Dream: Swirlix → Slurpuff. Given in Cyllage City in X, and to be picked up on Route 12.
- Metal Coat: Onix → Steelix, Scyther → Scizor. Poké Ball Factory.
- Protector: Rhydon → Rhyperior. Lost Hotel.
- Dragon Scale: Seadra → Kingdra. Terminus Cave.
- King’s Rock: Slowpoke → Slowking. Given by Lysandre at the Lysandre Café.
- Deep Sea Tooth and Deep Sea Scale: Clamperl → Huntail or Gorebyss. Azure Bay.

🎒The best held items of the adventure
- Leftovers (Route 12): restore a little HP each turn.
- Rocky Helmet (Ambrette Town): hurts the opponent that attacks on contact.
- Eviolite (Shalour City): boosts the defenses of a Pokémon that can still evolve by half.
- Lucky Egg (Coumarine City): increases the experience gained.
- Amulet Coin (Parfum Palace): doubles the money won in battle.
- Black Belt, Magnet, Charcoal, Twisted Spoon: boost the moves of one type.
