🚪The entrance to the HQ
Fly to Geosenge Town. In the north-west of the town, the entrance to the HQ, once hidden beneath monoliths, is now open. Your first opponent is waiting for you in the entrance hall: Lysandre himself.

🤝The corridors, in a Double Battle team with your rival
Your rival joins you. Together, you take on Team Flare Admins and Grunts in Double Battles: each of you uses your own Pokémon, side by side. The enemies are almost all Dark types: Fighting and Fairy moves work wonders. Your rival fields Meowstic, Absol, their Eevee evolution and their starter Pokémon, at around level 46 to 49.

At the back of the HQ, the legendary Pokémon is held by the machine. Free it: it turns to face you, at level 50. Now is the time to catch it.

Gyarados, at level 53, Mega Evolves as soon as it enters the battle: Mega Gyarados becomes Water and Dark, with the Mold Breaker ability, which ignores defensive abilities. It loses its Flying type: Electric moves now hit it for only double damage, as do Grass, Bug, Fighting and Fairy moves, and it becomes immune to Psychic.
Your new legendary Pokémon is the ideal weapon: Xerneas with its Fairy moves, or Yveltal with its Dark moves.
Defeated, Lysandre decides to use whatever energy the ultimate weapon has left. You evacuate the HQ with your rival: the weapon’s blast falls back on the base itself and destroys it, leaving an immense crater in the middle of Geosenge Town. AZ, now free, thanks you.
