🎉The parade and AZ
Professor Sycamore organizes a parade in Lumiose City for you and your friends, who saved Kalos at Geosenge Town. He presents you with the Honor of Kalos on behalf of the region. Then AZ steps forward: he wants to battle you in order to finally understand what a Trainer is.
AZ
📍 Lumiose CityTorkoal, Golurk and Sigilyph, all at level 60.
Torkoal (Fire) is weak to Water, Ground and Rock. Golurk (Ground and Ghost) is weak to Water, Grass, Ice, Ghost and Dark. Sigilyph (Psychic and Flying) is weak to Electric, Ice, Rock, Ghost and Dark.
A defeat has no consequences: the scene carries on without a trip back to the Pokémon Center.
Once defeated, AZ smiles and thanks you for easing his heart. A light then crosses the sky: his Floette, which left him three thousand years ago, comes back to him. This battle closes the main story of Pokémon X and Y.
🚆The TMV to Kiloude City
At Lumiose Station, on North Boulevard, the TMV now links Lumiose City to Kiloude City for free. It is the southernmost city in Kalos, inspired by Lyon. It is the only way to reach it by land.
- When you arrive, a Gentleman gives you the Vs. Recorder, which records your battles.
- The house east of the Center: a little girl gives you TM91 Flash Cannon.
- The house furthest to the north-west: a young Trainer gives you TM58 Sky Drop.
- The elevated park: an artist short of inspiration gives you a special outfit if she likes your style.

🏟️The Battle Maison
It replaces the Battle Tower of previous games. Chain battles together to earn BP, which you can exchange at the front desk for rare items. There are four formats: Singles, Doubles, Triples and Rotation.
- All Pokémon are brought down to level 50, items from the Bag are banned and your team is healed after each battle.
- New: you can stop after any battle and resume later, and every win earns at least one BP.
- At the 20th battle in a row, a Battle Chatelaine challenges you: Nita in Singles, Evelyn in Doubles, Dana in Triples and Morgan in Rotation. Beating her opens the Super line, where she returns at the 50th battle with legendary Pokémon.
For example, in Singles, Nita fields Wigglytuff, Grumpig and Purugly at the 20th battle, then Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus at the 50th battle of the Super line.
🐺Your rival and the Absolite
After your first win at the Battle Maison, your rival is waiting for you in the park in the north of the city. Beat them: they give you the Absolite and invite you to meet Professor Sycamore in front of the sundial in Anistar City. You can then battle them once a day.

A full team: Meowstic and their Eevee evolution at level 66, Altaria at level 67, Clefable and Absol, which Mega Evolves, at level 68, and their starter Pokémon at level 70.
Mega Absol stays Dark type: Fighting, Bug and Fairy take it down.
Head to Anistar City for what comes next: the upgraded Mega Ring and the Mega Stones.
🦊The Friend Safari
Each person on your console’s friend list creates a small area of a given type, with two Pokémon to catch, and a third if that friend has beaten the League and connected at the same time as you. There is no entry fee and no Safari Ball: you catch Pokémon the normal way.
- The Pokémon are at level 30 and have at least two perfect stats.
- They can have their Hidden Ability if all three Pokémon in the area are unlocked.
- The chances of a Shiny Pokémon are higher here than elsewhere.
- You can find Pokémon that cannot be found anywhere else in the wild, such as the Kanto and Kalos starter Pokémon.
🍾What opens up for Masters
- Diantha is waiting for you at Café Soleil in Lumiose City: she trades a Ralts holding a Gardevoirite for any Pokémon.
- Restaurant Le Nah and Sushi High Roller, the most prestigious restaurants in Lumiose City, open their doors to you.
- The Battle Chateau: keep climbing the noble ranks up to Grand Duke to battle Diantha there. See our Battle Chateau guide.
- The legendary Pokémon: Zygarde, Mewtwo and the legendary bird of your version are waiting for you. See the post-game legendary Pokémon.
