🏜️Route 13, Lumiose Badlands

As you leave Coumarine City, Sina and Dexio ask you to investigate the Kalos Power Plant, the region’s biggest electricity supplier: Lumiose City is still without power.

There is no tall grass here: wild Pokémon hide in dust clouds that move toward you. Repels have no effect, but if you stand still for a few moments, the cloud disappears. On the roller skate rails, the wind blowing from west to east pushes you off course: aim accordingly.

  • With Rock Smash: TM57 Charge Beam, at the end of the path after the Hyper Potion, and a Rare Candy east of the exit toward Lumiose City.
  • On the ground: a Smooth Rock in the far northeast, the Flame Plate in an entrenchment in the southeast, and a Sun Stone west of the exit toward Lumiose City, at the end of a zigzag rail.
  • Hidden items are plentiful: a Heat Rock, a PP Up, a Fire Stone, Star Pieces… The Dowsing Machine is your friend.

🔑The Power Plant Pass

In the southwest of the route, a Team Flare Grunt stands guard near the Power Plant and challenges you. After your victory, take out the Dowsing Machine: the Power Plant Pass is hidden in the big rock to his right. It opens the building’s door.

⚡Kalos Power Plant

The Power Plant brings together five buildings, one for each renewable energy, but only the solar one is open. Inside, Team Flare openly admits that it is diverting Lumiose City’s electricity for its own benefit. About eight Grunts and a Manager guard the corridors.

    Ability: Intimidate

Our strategy

Aliana relies on a single Pokémon: Mightyena, at level 38, a Dark type.
Its ability Intimidate lowers your Attack when it enters: rely on special attacks, or on a Fighting, Bug or Fairy Pokémon, the three types it fears. It knows Swagger, which confuses you while raising your Attack, and Scary Face, which sharply lowers your Speed.

After Team Flare’s defeat, Dexio gives you 2 Full Heals, a Worker gives you TM43 Flame Charge and a Scientist gives you a Magnet. The Fresh Water vendor lowers his price, and the Zap Plate lies next to him. Sina and Dexio tell you that the Lumiose Gate on Route 13 has reopened.
